Akira Energy is looking for x2 PC / Online Surveyors for a Geotechnical Nearshore Project.
The ideal candidate will have proven experience mobilizing offshore survey spreads from scratch and be proficient in QINSy Remote, Satel positioning systems, DGNSS, heading systems, and tug/pontoon positioning within a nearshore geotechnical environment.
Department Overview You will be working as part of a specialist offshore survey team supporting a nearshore geotechnical investigation using the Manta 200 system. Operating from Server 2 and a Pontoon, the survey team is responsible for delivering accurate positioning and navigation support to ensure all geotechnical investigations are completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project specifications
Position Summary The PC / Online Surveyors will be responsible for the mobilization, configuration, operation, and quality control of the offshore survey spread. This includes setting up the survey systems from scratch, supporting tug and pontoon positioning, monitoring geotechnical operations, and ensuring accurate positioning of all Manta 200 investigation locations throughout the campaign.
Key Responsibilities:
Survey Operations
Mobilise and configure the complete survey spread from scratch onboard the tug and pontoon.
Configure and operate QINSy Remote for online survey operations.
Install, test, and verify Satel positioning systems, DGNSS, and heading systems.
Manage tug and pontoon positioning throughout offshore operations.
Monitor vessel movements and ensure accurate positioning of all Manta 200 investigation locations.
Perform pre-mobilisation, calibration, and system verification checks.
Coordinate closely with the Geotechnical Engineer and vessel crew to optimise operational efficiency.
Positioning & Quality Control
Perform quality control checks on navigation and positioning systems.
Monitor positioning accuracy and investigate any anomalies during operations.
Maintain accurate event logs, survey records, and positioning reports.
Ensure all survey data complies with project specifications and client requirements.
Troubleshoot survey equipment and support system maintenance where required.
Reporting & Documentation
Maintain daily survey logs and operational records.
Prepare daily progress reports and positioning summaries.
Produce survey deliverables including coordinate lists, event logs, and positioning reports.
Assist with project close-out documentation and final survey deliverables.

Requirements
Previous experience as a PC / Online Surveyor on offshore or nearshore projects.
Proven experience mobilising survey systems from scratch.
Experience with QINSy Remote, Satel systems, DGNSS, and heading systems.
Experience with tug and pontoon positioning is essential.
Good command of the English language, both written and spoken.
