Job Description:
Akira Energy is seeking a highly skilled Commissioning / Operations Engineer to join an innovative offshore energy project. This project focuses on pioneering energy storage solutions, incorporating cutting-edge technologies such as a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS), Fuel Cells (FC), and water electrolysis systems. As the Operations Engineer, you will report directly to the Commissioning Manager and play a crucial role in the acceptance of commissioned scopes on behalf of the end user.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate closely with the EPCI Contractor’s Commissioning Manager and other project leads.
• Ensure all as-built drawings reflect the current status of the plant.
• Confirm that all necessary inspections and testing requirements (ITRs) are completed.
• Resolve any outstanding technical queries related to system handovers.
• Maintain and update as-built documentation and ensure appropriate safety notices are in place.
• Build an in-depth understanding of commissioning deliverables, mechanical completion, and handover processes.
• Oversee the maintenance of system boundary drawings and engineering deliverables.
• Provide support for pre-start-up audits and readiness reviews.

Skills & Requirements:

• Strong commitment to safety leadership.
• Experience in offshore projects, ideally within the commissioning or operations phases.
• Ability to manage contractors and equipment suppliers effectively.
• Hands-on problem solver with strong initiative and ability to work under minimal supervision.
• Experience in working within multi-cultural teams.
• Valid offshore certifications and willingness to travel on a rotational basis.

Contract Details:

• Start date: As soon as possible
• End date: Estimated completion by August 2025
• Rate: Up to EUR 1000/day for a 10-hour working day
