Akira Energy is looking for experienced Offshore Crane Operators for multiple assignments on production platforms across the North Sea. These positions are available to support the seasonal increase in offshore activities and provide cover during the summer holiday period.
The ideal candidate holds a valid OPITO Stage 3 Crane Operator Certificate or NOGEPA 1.2 Crane Operator Certificate, combined with proven experience in the safe loading and unloading of Offshore Support Vessels.
Key Responsibilities:
Crane Operations: Operate various types of cranes to lift and move heavy equipment, supplies, and materials on offshore platforms.
Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety protocols, procedures, and regulations to ensure a safe working environment. Conduct pre-operational safety checks on cranes and associated equipment.
Communication: Coordinate lifting operations with the rigging team, deck crew, and other relevant personnel. Communicate effectively with the control room and other operators to ensure seamless operations.
Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance and inspections on cranes to ensure they are in proper working condition. Report any defects or issues promptly to the maintenance team.
Emergency Response: Be familiar with emergency response procedures and actively participate in emergency drills. Respond promptly and efficiently to emergency situations as required.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of daily activities, including lift logs, equipment inspections, and any incidents or near misses. Complete required paperwork and reports in a timely manner.
Training: Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices. Participate in ongoing training and development programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other crew members, including riggers, deck crew, and supervisors, to ensure efficient and safe crane operations.
