Akira Energy is looking for 2 experienced Online Surveyors for an upcoming offshore geotechnical survey project in German waters.
This is a technical role for surveyors with hands-on experience in online survey operations, equipment calibration, underwater positioning and real-time data acquisition.
The Role
As Online Surveyor, you will support geotechnical survey operations, ensuring accurate positioning, seabed depth measurements and reliable survey data throughout the project.
Key Responsibilities
Operate QINSy Online and monitor positioning, navigation and survey data in real time.
Perform alongside calibrations and equipment verifications.
Calibrate vessel-mounted R2Sonic 2024 MBES systems combined with SVX and IPS.
Conduct seabed depth measurements before CPT operations at each worksite.
Operate and calibrate Sonardyne Ranger 2 USBL systems.
Use Sonardyne Compatt 6+ 8300-3111 with high-accuracy strain gauge/TQI for USBL positioning and depth measurement.
Use C-Tides for water-level calculations.
Operate Valeport MIDAS SVX2 for combined SVP/CTD measurements.
Prepare mobilisation and calibration reports.
Certification
Candidates must hold a GWO Offshore Survival certificate. If this cannot be met, BOSIET/OPITO survival certificates are accepted, provided they are no older than 2 years.
