Are you an experienced Offshore or Production Operator looking for your next assignment in the Dutch North Sea? Akira Energy is looking for an experienced FIM (Full Intervention Mode) Operator to join an offshore campaign supporting oil & gas production operations in the Netherlands.

This is an interesting opportunity for an operator who is comfortable working independently on offshore production facilities and enjoys combining hands-on operations with troubleshooting, maintenance support and safe execution of interventions.

The initial assignment will run until approximately mid-November 2026. Following the offshore campaign, there may be an opportunity to continue during the winter period in an onshore Work Preparation role, supporting the preparation of future offshore interventions and maintenance campaigns.

The Role

As FIM Operator, you will be part of the team responsible for interventions and operational activities on normally unmanned offshore production platforms in the Dutch North Sea.

You will play an important role in ensuring that offshore activities are prepared and executed safely and efficiently. The work covers day-to-day process operations as well as start-ups, shutdowns, isolations, troubleshooting and operational support during maintenance and intervention activities.

You will work closely with offshore maintenance personnel and contractors, as well as the onshore and CCR organisation.

Your Responsibilities

• Monitor and operate offshore production and process installations.

• Support the safe start-up, shutdown and reinstatement of process systems.

• Perform operational checks, isolations and preparations for maintenance activities.

• Carry out and support first-line troubleshooting and operational interventions.

• Coordinate closely with maintenance technicians, contractors and the onshore/CCR organisation.

• Support Permit to Work (PTW) processes and the safe execution of offshore activities.

• Assist during planned interventions, maintenance campaigns and unplanned operational issues.

• Ensure all activities are performed in accordance with applicable HSE and operational procedures.

• Report operational status, abnormalities and completed activities to the relevant onshore organisation.

What We Are Looking For

For this assignment, we are looking for an experienced offshore operator who can work safely and independently in a demanding operational environment.

Ideally, you bring:

• A technical qualification at MBO level or equivalent.

• Solid experience as a Process Operator, Production Operator or Offshore Operator within the oil & gas industry.

• Experience working on offshore production facilities; experience with normally unmanned installations is an advantage.

• Good knowledge of process systems, PTW, isolations, start-up/shutdown procedures and troubleshooting.

• Experience with DCS, ICSS and/or CCR operations is highly desirable.

• Strong HSE awareness and a disciplined approach to offshore operations.

• Valid offshore certificates and medical certification.

• Good command of English; Dutch language skills are strongly preferred.

• Availability at short notice and through approximately mid-November 2026.

Opportunity to Continue During the Winter

The offshore campaign is currently expected to finish around mid-November. After this period, there may be an opportunity to continue in an onshore Work Preparation position during the winter months.

In this role, you could support the planning and preparation of future offshore interventions and maintenance activities, including permits, isolations, materials and operational scopes.

For this reason, candidates who combine strong offshore operational experience with work preparation or planning experience are particularly relevant for this assignment.
