Akira Energy is looking for a Crewing Coordinator
This unique role involves ensuring that the barges are manned with qualified offshore personnel, in line with company policies, client requirements, and applicable legislation. It is a challenging and diverse position that requires close collaboration with various departments and external agencies.
You will be working with a company that operates a fleet of self-elevating jack-ups active in offshore energy operations. With over 20 years of experience operating worldwide, they are considered a frontrunner in this highly specialized segment of offshore and marine services. Your role

Reports directly to the Crewing Manager

Works closely with another Crewing Coordinator

Assists Rig Managers with crew pre-qualification and planning

Maintains close contact with Rig Managers, the Vessel Management Team, crew members, crewing agencies, and the QHSE department
Making impact
As Crewing Coordinator, you will be responsible for the day-to-day service delivery, planning, and execution of all personnel logistics operations related to your assigned vessels. This includes all aspects of mobilization and demobilization of offshore personnel, ensuring operations run smoothly and efficiently.
You will work closely with selected agencies on a daily basis. Planning, crew change-outs, and thinking ahead are the most important aspects of this role. All activities are carried out as part of a close-knit team together with the other Crewing Coordinator and the Crewing Manager.
Key responsibilities

Coordinate the pre-selection and recruitment of offshore personnel and maintain effective manning pools, ensuring cost-effectiveness and adherence to financial budgets

Manage crew qualifications, training, and certifications, and develop training matrices in line with company policies and project requirements

Ensure efficient and reliable crew rotations for all barges, including identifying opportunities for inter-barge change-outs

Monitor crewing agencies to ensure compliance with framework agreements

Take over the responsibilities and duties of the Crewing Manager during their absence

Be available by phone outside office hours for emergencies and high-priority situations, in consultation with colleagues within the Crewing Department

Conduct annual visits to barges when in port and meet with agencies and service providers to evaluate cooperation
Your experience, skills, and personal competences
Experience:
-
Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Crewing Coordinator in offshore or marine environments, preferably with jack-up experience
Regulations:
- Strong understanding of international crewing regulations and maritime labor laws
- You must be authorised to work in The Netherlands
- You must be in possession of a valid Dutch drivers license
Languages:

Fluent in Dutch and English, both written and spoken is a MUST
