Job Description

Akira Energy is looking for a Project Manager for a dynamic and innovative company operating in the Renewable Energy and Oil & Gas sectors. The company specializes in offshore projects and advanced equipment solutions.

Our client has extensive knowledge and experience in the storage, handling, and transport of subsea flexibles, cables, and umbilicals. They have successfully collaborated with major clients and contractors, including BP, Subsea7, Technip, and Allseas.

The company provides basket carousels ranging from 350 mT to 7,000 mT for the installation and storage of cables, umbilicals, and flexible pipelines. In addition, they offer loading towers to support spooling and laying operations from baskets or reels.

As the company continues to expand its team, we are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Project Manager to join their operational and engineering division.

Responsibilities

As Project Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Leading and managing offshore equipment projects from concept to completion, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.

  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including design, procurement, fabrication, and installation, to ensure seamless project execution.

  • Conducting feasibility studies, risk assessments, and technical evaluations to optimize project outcomes.

  • Monitoring and reporting on project progress, identifying potential risks, and implementing effective mitigation strategies.

  • Liaising with clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities to ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards.

  • Providing technical expertise during the design, fabrication, testing, and installation phases of carousels and loading towers.

  • Ensuring that all safety protocols and regulations are strictly followed throughout each project.

  • Contributing to the continuous improvement of engineering processes and project management methodologies.

Requirements

The ideal candidate has:

  • A bachelor’s or master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.

  • Proven experience as a Project Engineer or Project Manager in the offshore industry.

  • Strong knowledge of offshore engineering principles, codes, and standards.

  • Proficiency in project management tools and techniques.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • The ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

  • Willingness to travel internationally to project sites when required.

  • Proficiency in Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD.

  • Experience in preparing assembly and production drawings, technical documentation, and reports.
