Job Description

Akira Energy is seeking a skilled Tender Manager to lead and oversee the tendering process for offshore projects. This dynamic role requires developing competitive and compelling tender proposals, coordinating with internal departments, and ensuring compliance with client requirements and industry standards. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in offshore projects and a proven track record of managing complex tendering processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Tender Preparation and Submission

  • Manage the entire tendering process from initial inquiry to final submission.
  • Develop, prepare, and review tender proposals, ensuring accuracy, competitiveness, and compliance with client requirements.
  • Coordinate with internal teams, including engineering, procurement, finance, and legal, to gather all necessary information for tenders.

Client and Stakeholder Liaison

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the tendering process, addressing queries and concerns.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and subcontractors to support tendering activities.

Market and Competitor Analysis

  • Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and risks in the offshore industry.
  • Use insights to develop strategic and competitive tender proposals.

Cost Estimation and Pricing

  • Collaborate with finance and procurement teams to develop accurate cost estimates and pricing strategies.
  • Ensure pricing strategies align with company profitability goals while remaining competitive.

Compliance and Risk Management

  • Ensure all tender proposals adhere to industry standards, regulations, and company policies.
  • Identify and assess risks associated with tenders and develop mitigation strategies.

Documentation and Reporting

  • Maintain organized records of tender documents, correspondence, and submissions.
  • Prepare regular reports on tendering activities, progress, and outcomes for senior management.

Continuous Improvement

  • Incorporate feedback and best practices into the tendering process for continuous improvement.
  • Develop and implement strategies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree is a plus).
  • Extensive experience in tender management, preferably within the offshore or energy industry.
  • Strong understanding of offshore project requirements, industry standards, and regulations.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple tenders and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in tender management software and tools.
  • Valid offshore certifications and medical clearances are an advantage.
