Our client is a Dutch based company, specialized in offshore B2W gangway operations and systems, ensuring safe and efficient transfer of personnel and cargo at sea.

Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Operations Support Engineer with a background in Marine Engineering, coupled with strong Mechanical, Hydraulic, and Electrical knowledge. You will be the backbone of the Offshore Gangway Operators, providing critical support and guidance to ensure minimal downtime and efficient system repairs and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for the team of Offshore Gangway Operators during nightshifts and after office hours.
  • Provide expert advice on system repairs, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Master and utilize all technical manuals for effective problem-solving and feedback.
  • Ensure quick recognition and resolution of potential issues to minimize downtime.
  • Collaborate with HQ or a back-to-back during daytime operations for seamless support transition.
  • Maintain excellent communication with clients, operators, and team members.
  • Support the continuous improvement of operational processes and procedures.
  • Write detailed reports and logs to document issues, maintenance activities, and solutions implemented.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marine Engineering or a related field.
  • Strong mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical knowledge.
  • Experience as an Offshore Gangway Operator is a significant advantage.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills, with a positive and patient attitude.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficient in English, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work rotational shifts, including nightshifts.
