Job Description


We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Support Engineer E&I to join our client’s team.
In this role, you will provide essential technical support to our offshore assets, ensuring that all technical operations are executed efficiently, safely, and on time. You will be the cornerstone of the client’s offshore technical support, bridging the gap between onshore and offshore teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safety and Compliance: Ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations, including the mining act and operational procedures.
  • Technical Diagnosis: Identify and analyze errors based on input from offshore colleagues and contractors, determining necessary corrective actions.
  • Coordination: Coordinate with other specialists to address and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Emergency Response: Oversee and execute emergency repairs when necessary.
  • Planning and Documentation: Develop work schedules, determine material requirements, and organize necessary third-party assistance. Maintain and update all relevant documentation and drawings.
  • Procurement: Order materials and services, ensuring compliance with budget and obtaining necessary approvals.
  • Inspection and Maintenance: Prepare, organize, and coordinate legal inspections and technical works. Update the maintenance system and generate work orders.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with contractors, external specialists, and cross-functional teams to ensure seamless operations.
  • Problem-Solving: Provide onshore support to resolve issues that offshore staff cannot address. Propose alternative solutions to improve performance.
  • Continuous Improvement: Analyze errors and disruptions, suggesting improvements to maintenance schedules and technical installations.

Internal & External Interfaces:

  • Collaborate cross-functionally across all geographical areas within the company.
  • Expect offshore visits as part of the role.

Required Qualifications:

  • Intermediate vocational education in electrical and instrumentation.
  • Proficiency in Dutch is mandatory.
  • EU citizenship or a valid EU residence and work permit.
