Job Description

Akira Energy is seeking a highly skilled and adaptable Offshore Service Engineer to join our team. This role involves working at various offshore locations worldwide, supporting our diverse range of clients.
As an Offshore Service Engineer, you will be part of a dynamic team that tackles complex engineering challenges in challenging environments, ensuring the optimal performance and safety of offshore operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, commission, maintain, and repair mechanical / electrical systems and components in offshore environments.
  • Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure equipment operates at peak efficiency.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, applying a problem-solving approach to minimize downtime and risks.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance system reliability and performance.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and procedures, maintaining a safe working environment at all times.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to clients and team members.
  • Document all operations and maintenance activities, creating detailed reports on findings and actions taken.
  • Participate in training and development opportunities to stay current with industry standards and technologies.

Minimum Requirements:

  • MTS / MBO degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Valid VCA Certificate / MIST certification.
  • Current Offshore Medical Certification.
  • OPITO approved BOSIET and HUET training, including CA-EBS.
  • Willingness to travel extensively and work in diverse international settings.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to adapt to various technical challenges.
  • Excellent proficiency in English, both spoken and written, with effective communication skills.
  • Excellent proficiency in Dutch, both spoken and written, with effective communication skills.
  • Residency in The Netherlands

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in offshore operations or similar field service roles.
  • Familiarity with hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
  • Additional language skills are a plus.
