Akira Energy is looking for Offshore HSE Supervisors.
Rotation: 4 – 6 weeks

Position Overview: The Offshore HSE Supervisor plays a critical role in overseeing health, safety, and environmental practices on offshore worksites. Responsible for leading H&S meetings, promoting safe behaviours, and facilitating incident investigations, this role requires strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a commitment to continuous improvement in HSE performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Attend health and safety meetings and coordination sessions to stay informed about project-specific HSE requirements.
  • Lead toolbox talks, briefings, and discussions to promote H&S prevention and awareness among working teams.
  • Enforce safe behaviours and practices on the worksite, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to safety procedures.
  • Propose initiatives to improve H&S performance within the working teams, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Report any unsafe acts, conditions, or environmental disturbances promptly to the appropriate authorities.
  • Assist project representatives in following H&S trainings and familiarizations to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Contribute to incident and accident investigations, including gathering evidence, identifying root causes, and implementing preventive and corrective actions.
  • Facilitate communication and collaboration between the main company, project worksite contractor, and employer to address HSE concerns and ensure alignment with company policies.
  • Actively participate in cross inspections and audits to assess HSE compliance and identify areas for improvement.


  • Completion of basic offshore training, including relevant certifications and a valid medical certificate.
  • Proven experience in a similar HSE role within the offshore industry, with a strong understanding of offshore HSE regulations and best practices.
  • Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate teams to prioritize safety.
  • Effective communication abilities, both written and verbal, with the capacity to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze incidents and accidents to identify underlying causes and develop appropriate preventive and corrective actions.
  • Willingness to work offshore on a rotational basis, with assignments typically lasting 4-6 weeks.
